Exploring Data for Gender Equal Cities

The project, supported by the Swedish Consulate General in İstanbul, aims to advocate for the quality, accessibility and use of gender sensitive data for equal, just and inclusive cities. For these purposes, the gender sensitive data ecosystem will be examined at the initial phase of the project. Detailed information of this data will be gathered from central and local public institutions, non-governmental organizations and academia that produce gender-sensitive data in Turkey. Other aims of the project are to raise awareness of the importance of producing, using and sharing gender-sensitive data and to improve the capacity of data producers and users for better gender equality. In this context, it is planned to conduct trainings within the scope of the project, as well as to publish a policy report and interviews.
