Exploring Data for Equal Cities: Project Final Meeting

The final meeting of the Exploring Data for Equal Cities project, implemented by the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation with the support of the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul, was held with the participation of representatives from municipalities, civil society organizations and the private sector institutions. The event started with the opening speech of TESEV Executive Director Özge Aktaş Mazman and the presentation of the project process/findings by TESEV Project Manager Gizem Fidan and continued with the panel on Data for Gender Equality in Cities. In the panel moderated by TESEV Research Director Itır Akdoğan, Marmara Municipalities Union Urban Policy Specialist Büşra İnce, TÜSİAD Social Policy Department Director Ezgi Çelik, Garanti BBVA Diversity and Inclusion Discipline Leader Öykü Kayaalp and Education Reform Initiative Policy Analyst Özgenur Korlu discussed about data governance and cross-sectoral recommendations for gender transformative policies towards gender equality. TESEV’s work on gender equality will continue in 2024 with the support of the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul within the scope of the Closing the Gender Gaps in Labour Markets and Skills of the Future project.
