Equal Public Spaces – Urban Walks in Maltepe 2, Adalet Square

The second urban walk within the Equal Public Spaces Project which is carried out by TESEV in a collaboration with Kallipolis and Maltepe Municipality, as a part of THE:PLACE programme supported by Stiftung Mercator, managed by ALDA and MAD was organized in Adalet Square. Representatives of NGOs that work in Maltepe and Maltepe Municipality as well as women that live in Maltepe participated in this event. At the event, which took place in the evening hours following the decisions of the first walk, the participants examined the Adalet Square and the Park and shared their experiences with the help of a questionnaire. At the following stages of the project, the public space experiences of the participants in the walks held in Maltepe will be examined together with the strategic decisions of the local government. The results of this review will be published as a report on the TESEV website.
